Yo photoshoppers. I have Photoshop 2.0 and well I have no idea how to use it, no idea at all.
I want to be able to be able to heavily edit videos. Slowing it down, adding background music, cutting out scenes, moving scenes around and adding in graphics etc now considering that I know next to nothing about photoshops this is basically impossible for me to do.
So i'm just wondering, should I try to get my hands on a newer, easier version? Cusick, will you give me a hand in covering the basics? Photoshop is capable of all this, right?
Merci

Photoshop 2.0 ?!?!
What do you think this is, the 80's?!
Unless you're talking about Photoshop CS 2, then you would be in the right area.
Photoshop, as it suggests - is more for manipulating actual Photographs, than videos. You would be better to get another program from the Adobe CS(Creative Suite)2 range (CS2 is the newest version of all Adobe's 'creative' programmes). Scratch that.
For example, the following programmes have their uses beside them; Adobe Illustrator - Used for drawing and colouring, more so than PS. Adobe ImageReady - Um, slight modification of images(it is also possible to convert movie files into gifs with this programme) and creating .gifs. Adobe Indesign - Don't have this, but I think it's for creating weblayouts and so forth. Adobe Stock Photos - Does what it says on the tin. Adobe Acrobat - From the depths of hell, adobe brings us a really laggy Word Processor Adobe GoLive - Can't remember?
What you would be better using is something from the Adobe Production Studio range. Here's a snipet from the site:-
The Production Studio is split up into Standard and Premium Bundles. Um, anyway - I'm getting away from the point - What programme you need is this:
Adobe Audition and Adobe Encore DVD - I'd link you but internet is dead.
